Water Skiing in Mauritius

Water skiing is a sport where an individual (or more than one individual) is pulled behind a motor boat or a cable ski installation on a body of water wearing one or more skis. The surface area of the ski (or skis) keeps the person skimming on the surface of the water allowing the skier to stand upright while holding the tow rope.Le Morne is becoming infamous with wind surfers and kite surfers. It has become the best spot in Mauritius, if not the world.Le Morne is best for kiters and wind surfers of intermediary to good levels as it is on the extreme side in terms of wind and especially sea (current) conditions. The La Preneuse and Flic en Flac spots are adequate essentially for kiters of intermediary to confirmed levels and only when the wind is thermal, from the West or North-West, (i.e. mainly outside winter period.) Start and sail downwind to Le Morne.
